Madison Jackson has served as the Workforce Development Programs Manager for Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center (VGMHC) since 2021, working with key stakeholders to implement programs that help Virginia Garcia meet its needs for skilled healthcare workers. Madison manages sustainable career pathways to hire, educate and train Virginia Garcia employees to fill key positions such as Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant and Pharmacy Technician. Madison joined the organization in 2017, serving our patients as a Medical Records clerk before becoming the organization’s first Learning and Development Specialist. In her current role as Virginia Garcia's first Workforce Development Programs Manager, Madison builds relationships with community partners to achieve our combined goals of increasing equitable access to meaningful employment for our staff, patients and community. In Madison’s free time, she enjoys discovering new Portland thrift shops, going on hikes with her dog, and traveling.
