Judith Steinberg

Judith Steinberg is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC), part of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). As CMO, Dr. Steinberg steers and oversees the clinical focus and content of the health center program and its policies, along with ensuring the Bureau’s activities are aligned with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ strategic public health priorities. She has had more than 25 years of experience in primary care and infectious disease, including caring for patients and serving as medical director at community health centers in Boston. Dr. Steinberg is also an associate professor of medicine at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Medical School.
