Isaiah Nathanial CPHIMS
Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Delaware Valley Community Health, Inc
Isaiah Nathaniel is a successful business executive, entrepreneur, film producer and director who is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Delaware Valley Community Health, Inc., (DVCH) a 60-million-dollar non-profit Ambulatory Healthcare Company FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center.) Their mission is to serve the underserved with whole person healthcare regardless of their ability to pay. Numerically, that turns DVCH into 53,072 patients, 167,000 visits, 400 employees, and 80 healthcare providers with 11 locations in the Delaware Valley region of Philadelphia. In addition, Isaiah is the CIO Executive Advisor for the National Association of Community Health Center, (NACHC.) NACHC is dedicated exclusively to expanding health care to low-income and medically underserved populations. A trusted resource for all 1512 community health centers, regardless of their size, and responsive to federal, state, and local priorities. Isaiah is also the owner and CEO of Calcom Technologies a premier Informational Technology company based out of Philadelphia, Pa. He is also the owner and CEO of MadOptics Productions, a film production company that focuses on films, sports, and photography. Recently noted Isaiah received national press participating in a webinar with US News and World Report on Improving Health Equity and Access Through Telehealth and New Technologies. In addition, he also received national attention from media outlet Tech Target for significant and success pivot of Healthcare IT operations during the COVID-19 pandemic using hyper-convergence technology. Most recently Isaiah was the keynote speaker for the 2024 Convocation Ceremony at Delaware State University. Also, he was awarded the 2025 Health Information and Management Systems Society, (HIMSS) Changemaker CXO of the year award. In addition he also received the 2019 Minority Business Leader award from the Philadelphia Business Journal. In addition, he received national press as the executive producer, writer, and director of 16th and Philly, a documentary film released February 2014. He is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems as well as an official member of the invitation only Forbes® Technology Council.
Educated at Central High School in Philadelphia, Pa and then Delaware State University where he earned a BS in Management Information Systems, he also was a four-year letterman for the Men’s Basketball team. He has also graduated from the prestigious DiverseForce OnBoards Leadership and Board Governance program given at the University of Pennsylvania.
His hobbies and interest include basketball, to which he still plays, road cycling, reading and chess. He is a big advocate for bringing the next generation along and proudly boasts that he is a product of his “failures.”
At DVCH Isaiah is responsible for developing and executing the overall information system strategy in support of the business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of security, and maintenance of the information technology network, integrated electronic health record, electronic practice management, and electronic dental record hardware and systems across Delaware Valley Community Health’s multi clinic integrated healthcare network. Provide strategic leadership by articulating information systems needs and plans to the executive team, shareholders and board of directors.
