Glorimar Irizarry

Women’s Health Program Lead, Holyoke Health Center, Inc.

Glorimar Irizarry is the Women’s Health Program Lead for the Holyoke Health Center, a federally qualified community health center located in western Massachusetts. Her various roles within the health center have included Depression Care Manager and Adolescent Care Coordinator. In her current role, she oversees sexual reproductive health programming integration through the clinic’s primary care services. Glorimar is a trained facilitator in contraceptive counseling approaches for adolescents and has trained clinical staff at Holyoke Health Center and other local youth serving agencies on how to provide proper contraceptive counseling to help reduce unintended pregnancies in Hampden County. Glorimar co-chairs community engagement projects through the mayor’s teen pregnancy prevention committee known as HASHPPAC (Holyoke Adolescent Sexual Health Pregnancy Prevention Accountability Committee). In 2013, Glorimar received the Youth First award from the Mass Alliance on Teen Pregnancy for her work in supporting efforts to decrease teen pregnancy in the city of Holyoke. Glorimar has a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA.
