Erika Cottrell

Dr. Cottrell is a Research Assistant Professor at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) and a Research Investigator at OCHIN, a nonprofit health innovation center committed to conducting research to improve the health of underserved populations. Her current research focuses on understanding the impact of community- and individual-level social determinants of health; developing and testing EHR-based tools for identifying and addressing social risks; and evaluating the impact of federal and state policy changes on reproductive health care utilization in safety-net settings. She earned a PhD in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University.
