Donna Meltzer is CEO of the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), a national non-profit that supports the nation’s 56 State Developmental Disabilities Councils that work within state government to help people with I/DD live their best life in the community. Ms. Meltzer works with Councils, community leaders and government to create change through policy and program.
Meltzer previously served as Senior Director of Government Relations for the Epilepsy Foundation, Director of Legislative Affairs for the Association of University Centers on Disabilities, and Government Affairs Director for the National Health Council. She began her career working for former Congressman Tony Coelho.
Ms. Meltzer has provided leadership in and participates in several important national advocacy and advisory coalitions that support the lives of people with I/DD. She is a native Washingtonian and a graduate of the University of Maryland’s School of Journalism.
