Dr. Christopher Roby, a native of Shelby, Mississippi, is the President/CEO of Mississippi Health Alliance, LLC. Dr. Roby serves in several capacities as the Chief Operating Officer with the Community Health Center Association of Mississippi, Adjunct Faculty of Health Care Administration at Jackson State University, and Professor of Sociology at Strayer University. He is a highly motivated professional with public health and behavioral science experience in research and evaluation, public health management, organizational leadership, grant development, and grant reviewer for state/federal/private/ funds. Dr. Roby has 18 years of professional administrative experience, exceptional knowledge of scientific practices, and capacity-building assistance. He has been a community activist for the LGBTQ community while lending support to individuals from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
Dr. Roby has managed 17 prevention intervention projects involving smoking cessation, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, breast/cervical/prostate cancer, and HIV/STIs. Dr. Roby has also developed various quality improvement workgroups for HIV/AIDS and Hypertension Projects. Currently, Dr. Roby’s work focuses on Ending the HIV Epidemic in support of Mississippi’s federally qualified health centers.
