Christine Matthews, President of Bellwether Research, is a leading public opinion pollster known for her perceptive and innovative techniques. The research she directed for Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s 2018 re-election campaign was credited as the key to winning women. Christine served as an expert contributor to the Center for American Women in Politics (CAWP) & Barbara Lee Family Foundation’s GenderWatch2018 project and has contributed to CAWP’s 2020 gender gap coverage. She is part of a bi-partisan team that regularly conducts research for the Barbara Lee Family Foundation on how voters perceive women candidates. In the 2020 election cycle, she was the pollster for the Super PAC supporting Bill Weld’s campaign for president and is working with the NRSC on a key Senate race, having worked with the committee in 2016 and 2014.
