Carron Young BSN, RN, CPHIMS, PCMH CCE

Ms. Young, a nurse by training, has served over 25 years in the healthcare industry as an expert EHR user and implementer; training clinical and administrative staff on standardized data entry, and working closely with health plans and provider groups to support improved quality outcomes and leverage pay for performance opportunities for the Virginia FQHCs. Her expertise is acknowledged by HIMSS, maintaining the designation of Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Management Systems (CPHIMS), since 2017. In addition to CPHIMS, Ms. Young’s professional expertise includes recognition as a NCQA PCMH Certified Content Expert (PCMH CCE). These certifications complement each other and, along with her nursing degree, provide her with a unique administrative, clinical and technological perspective. This perspective enhances Cenevia network clinician understanding and facilitates discussions with the various stakeholders involved. Ms. Young ’s experience evaluating data practices across multiple provider organizations makes her uniquely qualified to participate in initiatives evaluating data challenges resulting from variability in workflows for different organizations.
