Brendan Riley leads NCCHCA’s policy and government affairs work. He is responsible for monitoring and analyzing policy developments at the state and federal levels as well as developing and advancing policy priorities in the interest of North Carolina’s health centers and their patients. Prior to joining NCCHCA in December 2019, Brendan worked as the Senior Policy Analyst for the North Carolina Justice Center’s Health Advocacy Project, where he provided strategic direction in policy development, conducted extensive legislative and administrative advocacy, and served as subject matter expert on wide-ranging issues that affect health care coverage, access, and affordability for North Carolinians with low incomes. Brendan previously served at NCCHCA as a Policy Analyst and Outreach & Enrollment Coordinator after a stint in Washington, D.C. with Families USA. Brendan holds a B.A. in Political Science from Davidson College, and spends his leisure time hopelessly rooting for the Carolina Panthers with his wife and two cats.
