Given the impact of COVID-19 on health center workforce, health center leaders are being challenged with navigating staff burnout and turnover while complying with the recent vaccine mandate by CMS. This webinar provides health center leaders with an overview of strategies to engage in challenging conversations regarding vaccine confidence and the vaccine mandate with health center staff. Session presenters will describe the role of active listening to identify underlying concerns of health center staff and empathic strategies for individual and organization-wide communication.
By the end of the webinar, participants will:
– Understand the importance of relational approaches to communication during difficult and uncertain times – Consider strategies to gain the perspective of others with authenticity and curiosity – Describe ways to respond with empathy and respect to enhance the relationship
Our hope for the session is that you have tools to reinforce trust and confidence within discussions about the COVID vaccinations and vaccine mandates; you feel empowered with empathic communication skills to talk about COVID vaccines and vaccine mandates; and, you have an improved understanding of the forces behind vaccine confidence.
