Each health center must undertake a community health needs assessment to understand critical needs in its community at least once every three years as required in the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Health Center Compliance Manual (Compliance Manual), Chapter 3: Needs Assessment. This short module outlines key components of a Needs Assessment and discusses the board’s role related to the Needs Assessment.
