Publication Date: February 5, 2019

Description

This Office Hour brings together four subject matter experts to discuss and answer participants' questions about the importance of systems orientation as part of a clinical leader's core competency development. Through the presentation of real-life examples and case scenarios this Office Hour focuses on enhancing a clinical leader's ability to:

  1. Utilize both "big picture" and detailed "systems thinking" when analyzing issues and making decisions
  2. Align clinical, tactical operations with the health center's mission, vision, and values
  3. Manage change among the clinical staff as the health center moves into new care models (e.g., Patient Centered Medical Home model)
  4. Actively work to integrate Public/Population Health issues with routine delivery of primary care
